International technology group ANDRITZ will supply a new high-capacity chemi-mechanical pulp production line to Zhanjiang China Paper Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech Co., Ltd. in Guangdong Province, China. The new line will fill the gap in the company’s chemi-mechanical pulp supply and end Guangdong Guanhao High-Tech Co., Ltd.’s dependence on market pulp.
GRAZ, JULY 10, 2024. International technology Group ANDRITZ has received an order from C&S Paper to supply two PrimeLineCOMPACT tissue machines for its mill in Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, China.
Valmet is to supply an OptiWin Drum two-drum base winder to Wuzhou Special Paper’s paper machine PM 19 in China. The main target of the investment is to have one winder to handle the high quality and capacity targets of the high-speed paper machine. The winder includes Valmet Perforating Splicer, a new innovation to support the fast parent roll change. The start-up of the winder is scheduled for 2025.
Brazilian group Suzano, the largest pulp producer in the world, Suzano, the world’s largest market pulp producer, has unveiled the launch of itsGreen Life - Blue Future initiative at an event hosted at the China Soong Ching Ling Science and Culture Center for Young People in Beijing.
The global pulp and paper industry continues to thrive, with a strong focus on the packaging sector and tissue and towel sector. The industry is expected to experience a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately two percent. Looking ahead (Fig. 1), we expect to witness the addition of around 70 million tons of new capacity by 2027, thanks to various ongoing and upcoming projects.
June 26, 2024 - Suzano announced that the operational start-up of its new pulp mill in Ribas do Rio Pardo, located in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul ("Cerrado Project"), Brazil, will take place in July 2024.
Initially announced in May of 2021, the Cerrado Project involves the construction of the new pulp mill that will have the capacity to produce 2.55 million tons per year of eucalyptus pulp, increasing Suzano's installed market pulp capacity to 13.5 million tons per year.

Ltd. in Hukou County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, China. This is the largest fiberline worldwide with only one high-consistency refiner as the heart of the process.
